Downsizing and Jewelry Adjustments

We initially fit most piercings with slightly longer posts or jewelry to allow room for normal swelling during the early stages of healing. Once that early phase has passed, staying in that "starter length" too long can lead to snagging, pressure, and bumps. Not every piercing will require downsizing.

At your check-up appointment, we first assess how your piercing is healing and how the current jewelry is sitting against the tissue. Then, if necessary, we change your post for a shorter or better fitting piece chosen for your specific anatomy.
